Have you ever been perplexed or upset because someone dosent understand your point of view or the level at which you are speaking?
Do you find it hard to comprehend that someone dosent understand the littlest things you expect them to know?
We'll I've brought a simpler concept to help you realize what going on
If you fall under this phenomenon then congratulations..you have been cursed with knowledge!
The curse of knowledge , illustrated by Elizabeth Newton In 1990, a Stanford University graduate student in psychology , summaries the
A cognitive bias which is a systematic pattern of deviation from rationality, which occurs due to the way our cognitive system works.
Accordingly, cognitive biases cause us to be irrational in the way we search for, evaluate, interpret, judge, use, and remember information, as well as in the way we make decisions.
In simpler words,
When under the Curse of Knowledge, we assume people know more about a topic than they actually do.
We are especially susceptible to the Curse once we gain expert level knowledge of a subject. It makes it difficult to take someone else’s perspective and to think like a novice.
Now you're coming to that realization and it all makes sense right?
I was there to. I came across the curse of Knowledge newly from a teaching of a mentor. After reading through his words, I felt more at ease, putting the pieces together it became more easier to comprehend.
Cognitive biases affect every area of our life, from how we form our memories, to how we shape our beliefs, and to how we form relationships with other people. In doing so, they can lead to both relatively minor issues, such as forgetting a small detail from a past event, as well as to major ones.
So now we have better understanding of this illustration, it brings us to questioning?
IS THE CURSE OF KNOWLEDGE REALLY A NEGATIVE CURSE??
The clear point is, it is inevitable and has it's prons and cons just like everything else.

The higher we scale through on the path of knowledge, the more we become absorbed and having a clearer perspective than others.
At some point we tend to forget and rationally expect others to know what we are talking about as we find these information normal and crucial to everyday life .
We may be baffled by people's inability to conceive the information we're trying to pass across.
Welcome to the curse of Knowledge!
Now here's the crucial thing to take to notice.
As much as you're acquiring knowledge , you must understand that not everyone will understand the concept of your conversations .
We are all capable in different ways so try as much as possible to be indifferent about people's incomprehension of some knowledge
And be mindful about your reaction to
Communications.
I'll end with a statement by
Albert Einstein
“The more I learn, the more I realize how much I don't know.” As I delve deeper into the world of developmental vision therapy and visual rehabilitation, I find myself thinking this quite frequently.
