We all have a beginning. That time when we made that decision, taking that first step to achieving our desires. Just like I did.
I am Ololade, a freelance content and ghostwriter, blogger, podcaster, poet and language enthusiast. Im currently a final year student of a diploma Course in orthopedics, "Prosthetics and Orthotics''. I love ancient history and archeological discoveries, I speak Spanish, English , Korean, a little bit of Chinese, German and Ukrainian. I am an entrepreneur , achiever , love enthusiast (I believe in love and self appreciation ). I love music and play a bit of the violin and piano. I'm an inventor and my view of the world is amazingly unique. I am an advocate of self development and I currently run an "Active Listening Community '' where I enlighten people on several ranges of topics and create an environment where people can share ideas, problems and get help without being judged. We have a blog and a newsletter received through mail every week . This is my way of reducing anxiety, depression and contributing to our society. If you can guess right, i'm not 19 yet.
As you imagine, all these achievements and more didn't come in a day. I had to work hard and push my limits, making that bold step to make a statement with who I was . I've always felt this inner pressure to be something and enjoy the process. Of course the dream is more fascinating than the journey; it was hard ,sometimes I got fed up and wanted to quit. But I knew I couldn't because the journey isn't about me anymore, its about the lives that will be changed through my breakthrough, generations and destinies liberated, purpose fufillment to the world. I always remembered a popular saying '' THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN QUITTERS AND WINNERS IS JUST ONE THING...TRYING''
I always dreamt of the day I could look back and smile telling you my story . Now I get the chance to today.
When i was younger I experienced a traumatic past which changed my life entirely. I endured so much pain during the time which made me devastated as well as building me to who I have become today. I admit that not all times were happy, in fact I suffered hallucination, depression and anxiety which im still putting under control but that didn't stop me. During my sad times, i realized my passion for expressing my pain and how it tore me apart each day in a diary. I was never a sanguine personality type and my reserved nature made it hard for me to convey my feeling in words . Writing was my safe place, my own little world of creativity.
I began writing short stories, creating a different world in contrast to mine. It was exciting and soothing.
I wrote my first published novel few weeks before my 14th birthday. Later on I joined writing classes which boosted my confidence, getting good reviews on my poetry made me want to learn more.
Not only was I excited about the world of art, I swerved into other dreams, reading Medical books on neuroscience, geriatrics, sexology, anatomy ,etc. I spent hours studying the business world, listening to podcasts , watching video seminars, downloading business books and sitting down to make out my goals in life.
I am a very ambitious and goal oriented person. I believe ''YOU CAN ACHIEVE ANYTHING YOU PUT YOUR HEAT TO ''. I fell in love with blogging and started two YouTube channels on music and learning. It was great in the beginning ; the dream was huge but along the line I felt tired. I learnt the word "CONSISTENCY'' along my journey. I did a lot things , exploring my inner self. My desire to be great led me on the hunt for voiceover jobs and proof reading articles. I remember a few years back how I spent my whole day filling forms, applying for student jobs, watching ''How-to'' videos, eventually getting nothing to show forth. I was exasperated beyond measure, quitting that evening. Waking up the next day , I took a deep breath and told my self ''NOTHING GOOD COMES EASY''.
Even though I never got the voiceover jobs , I learnt how to understand goals and work nonstop to achieve it .
I was never a person of NOW,I understood and still believe that all we do is for a better future. During my growth I had mentors like '' John Lee dumas'' who is a podcaster, CEO of click funnels and an entrepreneur. I watched several of his videos in grooming my potentials. Along my journey I had mentors like Robert Kiyosaki, Richard Brandson, Ajulu and Grant Cardone, all in several aspects of life that I ventured into e.g, cryptocurrencies, writing, business and ecommerce, real estate, etc.
One of my proud ambitions is to be a multilingual entrepreneur, connecting with world renown companies for bettering the world. I believe in raising youths to explore their full potentials. This ambition led me to starting my youth podcast on Anchor FM ''Raising Young Minds''.
I spent hours on self development, reading books on intellectual and emotional intelligence. Learning languages was one of my favorite hubbies, studying for over 3 hours a day on different languages. There were tough times in my journey but I learnt to TRUST THE PROCESS and believe in GOD because ''All things work together for good for those who love him(God)''
I presently am working on more books to be launched, i'm completing my paramedical diploma course in a month and im a proud 17year old. I have achieved a lot and it is an honor to have lots of people aspire for greatness through my teachings. I'm presently working on my jewelry brand ''HAEZEL JEWELRY'' launching this fall. The inspiration behind this Brand is my love for expression of individualism through our fashion style, making a statement with your wrist. The concept of this brand is to bring together ancient and modern art embedded into jewelry for expression of personality without judgment.
A lot of people complain about how Nigeria is tough and frustrating but I turned my predicament to great success. Quarantine changed my life and thinking perspective. I got to seethe world differently and channel my thinking to how successful people reason. I want you to know that the only difference between the rich and the poor is one vital source. ''INFORMATION''
A lot of people underestimate the power of youthfulness. I am a teenager who believes ''i'm not too Young to get it right''. Some people say ''While you're young, you are still asleep'' but I am wide awake.
I am privileged to understand my purpose In life, what I want to become and how to pursue my dreams. Its a privilege being born in a country where you need to have a survivor instinct , knowing that many generations are dependent on your victory. All the hardships I went through thought me to be stronger, persistent and unrelenting making sure my life was productive. I still struggle with Post traumatic Stress Disorder but it will take a lot to weigh me down. I am a strong believer of faith and God which has helped me in my direction and understandings of life.
I am an achiever
and will fulfill my purse by imprinting my landmark on the world.
